A Tropical Triangle 22 and 23

Beat the Heat 12 and 13

Sorry I didn't put up a cap last night.  I was gone for a good chunk of the day, and I didn't get home until 3PM.  I'll put up the next part of A Tropical Triangle tonight.  But for now, this:

Diary - The Sexuality Thing

If you're struggling to wrap your head around the concept of asexuality, here's a pretty good FAQ, or you can check out AVEN, which is kind of the online hub of the asexual community.

A Tropical Triangle 18 and 19

So, that happened.  And also that.

There's an uncomfortable amount of thatting in these caps.

His Kryptonite

Beat the Heat 9

I'm not sure if it's clear what's going on here.  So, as we've seen, Cameron bought his boyfriend Jake an annual pass to Bikini Beach, turning Jake into Jackie.  But Luis wasn't present when Cameron bought Jake's pass, so he doesn't remember that Jackie was originally a man and Cameron's boyfriend; he only remembers Jackie as a woman.  While Luis understood Cameron's desire to hide from his boyfriend Jake, he doesn't understand why Cameron was so freaked out by the thought of living with Jackie, his female roommate.

That's a surprisingly difficult idea to convey in a caption, especially when the caption is written from Luis's perspective.

Hard Work

I actually don't think it would be difficult to find a partner to switch sex with in the Swap Institute universe.  The Swap Institute could easily set up a program to match transwomen with transmen.  But "Character A and Character B were matched up in a database and everyone lived happily ever after" doesn't make for a very interesting story.

A Tropical Triangle 10 and 11

I'm not really happy with the title of this series.  It's a reference to the sort-of-love-triangle between Jeff, Carlos, and Reggie, and I think I was also kind of reaching for a pun on the idea of the Bermuda Triangle... but I don't think it really works.  Mostly, this series is just called A Tropical Triangle because I couldn't think of anything better to call it.

Sometimes the hardest part of writing a caption is coming up with a title.

Michael Is Not Impressed

Between Zika, green water, political and economic turmoil, and this whole "cupping" thing, the Rio Olympics have at times been a disturbing affair.  I take you back to a simpler time, when the only thing we had to worry about was the impending Mayan apocalypse...

A Tropical Triangle 7

This was originally going to be a single caption.  As it got longer, I decided to break it up into two separate captions.  But I couldn't break it up in a way that satisfied me, so now it's a single caption again, lol.

Beat the Heat 6

I know I need to go through and hook up a few posts to my series list, and I will... but not right now.  I haven't been feeling well the last few days, and I'm having a hard enough time posting caps at all without having to sort out links.

(It's nothing serious, and there's no need to worry; it's just a flare-up of my usual health problems.)

The Chasm

Diary - Mandela Effect

Not that I'm a convert to the idea that the Mandela Effect is real.  But I guess my experiences have moved me from being a complete skeptic to a Mandela Effect agnostic.  It's as reasonable an explanation for my sex change as any other I've been able to come with.

Hey There, Sweet Thing

This is easily the most unabashedly silly caption I've made, and I love it for that reason. :)
